The songs featured in this film are the main catch of the movie and were a big hit when they were published in the year 2006. All the songs in the movie have a beautiful meaning to it. The music and background music of Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy while the lyrics were penned down by Javed Akhtar. Just when the couple’s respective partners end their marriage, there’s a twist in the love story and both, Dev and Maya end up together. The end is very powerful and brings goosebumps. This scene was amongst the most remarkable portions in the film. Samarjith, Rishi’s father ( Amitabh Bachchan) lifestyle provides ample moments of laughter.īy the end of the film, both couples betrayals are discovered and their worlds go upside down. They understand that their life is more beautiful with the other person in it. In this way, they soon fall in love with each other. They become very close and start spending time with each other often. Things seem to change after Dev and Maya meet and share their relationship problems.
They try to seem content and happy in their marriage despite the fact that they know that things are not right. In the beginning of the movie, both Dev ( Shah Rukh Khan) and Maya ( Rani Mukerji) are completely convinced that they are happy, but as time passes they find out that they are not happy in their respective relationships and they are out of love. She furthermore, feels that her marriage is strained because of her inability to conceive. She maintains a very low profile and does not want to get into the limelight. She does not get intimate with her spouse at all which leads to a lot of problems. Maya is a woman who is always after hygiene. She spends less time with her husband and always makes excuses that she is busy and has to attend meetings and parties. Dev is a married man with a child, whose wife is always busy at work and is very career oriented. The film is about a story of Dev and Maya both married to two different people who have different tastes compared to their own.
